For anyone that's been reading my journey with my horrid hip pain......guess what??? Finally after suffering for years with this gradually deblitating pain - I AM PAIN FREE! whoohoo!  I honestly didn't realize how much pain I was actually in until I had the steroid shots.  I realized it last night.  I went to sit down on a hard chair and that oh so familiar throbbing and pulling was gone.  Of course I'm still tender where they gave me the shots but hey I'm just glad that other pain is gone!  In fact, last night I kept telling my hubby that this was awesome and he kept laughing at me. lol  I'm hoping that these shots keep me feeling well for a long time and my sacroiilitis don't come back.  I honestly couldn't ask for a better Christmas present!

That must be a great relief, it drives you mad constantly being in pain. When it goes you realise how debilatating these things can be.I'm so glad you'll be able to sit pain free this Christmas. Have a really good Christmas Red.

Beth, I'm hoping that these shots will last a long time. Remission? Who knows, I'm just happy that I was able to make 4 dozen chocolate chip cookies and magic cookie bars today without having to sit down every 5 minutes or have my hip and back muscles spasm on me. But if I need to get the shots again, I will do it in a heartbeat! So right now, I'm taking one day at a time and go from there. :)

This is going to be an awesome Christmas because not only am I pain free but Uc symptom free too. I'm going to try and keep my Christmas cookie munchies down to a minimum!

Oh yeah, no doubt about it - it hurt like you can't believe!

James, a magic cookie bar is a graham cracker crust in a pan, sprinkled with chocolate chips, coconut and drizzled with sweetened condensed milk and then baked. Oh so delicious!
