Hi Everyone, thank you for taking time to read my question.  My daughter is 21, she has complete heart block with a pacemaker and she also has SVT and what seems to be pacemaker syndrome.  She is 7 months pregnant and her doctor won't get specific about risks except to say we will deal with problems as they come up and naturally she is high risk.  Has anybody here had a pregnancy with any of the above conditions?  She passes out a lot and I am very concerned about the baby getting oxygen when this happens.  She has always had off and on very blue lips and nail beds. I know they will monitor her very closly during labor, just wondered if anyone had a successful vaginal delivery?  Thanks again for your time!

Hey there Meg. I see that you did this question a while ago, so I don't know if you have solved this issue.

I have not dealt with what your daughter is dealing with, nor have I known anyone who has, but I have the concern that your daughters doctor won't get specific about the risks. I feel that it is his resposibility to let her know what could possibly happen so she can be ready for anything. I don't agree with dealing with the problems as they come up. For me, I want to know what the potential issues can be, and how they will be dealt with should they arise. And, if nothing goes wrong, then great, that is even better. This is just my opinion, and I had to put it here, because when I saw that her doctor wouldn't get into specific details, it bothered me. I dunno. That's just me though.

I wish your daughter all the best in delivering a healthy baby! Let us know!
