I sit majority of the day because i work on computers for a living. My right ankle swells when i ingest sodium foods. I try to keep it low. about 2 to 3 years ago i saw a doctor about it. He had me on a EKG, liver and kindney test. The results are fine. Does this mean i am just sodium sensitive or did the EKG , liver and kidney test did not pick up what it was supposed to pick up as far a showing signs of a problem. Blood pressure is good when rested also.

Hi there forgiven. Has your doctor ever thought to put you on a water pill? My Mom has the same issues with swollen ankles and legs if she sits for long periods of time, and because of that, her doctor prescribed her with a water pill on an as needed basis. She takes it when she notices the swelling, and then it goes down.

Just a thought, hope it helps. Do let us know!
