Hello Everyone,

I'm having a stress test May 13 and 14th what kind of test do they have you do?I think the receptionist said they take about 2 hours. The reason is I've been having sharp pain in my chest
middle of my back, right shoulder and tightness on my right side of my jaw.Kind of feels like my throat is closing up also. This has probably happened 5 times in a month.I'm also wondering if anyone else has had these symptoms and what your diagnose is?

Thanks,
Mary

when I had my stress test they just put me on a monitor and put me on a tread mill and got my heart pumping good. But sometimes they put a dye in you. mine only took about an hour so they are probably doing a different one on you. sorry I couldnt be of more help.

When I had my stress test due to tachycardia. They hooked me up on an EKG and had me walk on a treadmill they slowly raised the incline and speed and got my heart rate to where they wanted it which was 160, I keep running till it got to 180 and then stopped. Unfortunatly it told us nothing because my problem is not excercise induced. Very easy procedure only took about 30 minutes tortal . Only 10 on the treadmill

Hi Mary, my stress test involved going on a tread mill, they speed it up and raise the hill every 4 mins. They also took  my blood pressure and pulse while doing so.
