I hope someone can help me with this. It is a very hard thing to explain fully. for the past month i have been experiencing jolts or jumping in what i think is my heart. The jolts are very inconsistant. sometimes they  happen all day sometimes they dont happen at all for the whole day. it feels like my heart my is beating regular then all of a sudden it  has 1 really hard beat, kind of like a jolt or a jump. it also makes me feel like im going to black out altho i never have. i also get hot flashes when this accurs. I dont know if the hot flashes are due to me being nervous about this happening or if its due to the issue. this usually lasts 1-2 seconds. a couple of times it has lasted about 10 seconds. i have also noticed recently that i have a feeling like as if food is stuck in my throat. I have had numerous EKG's.  I have also had 2 chest exrays, blood work, a holter monitor and another 24 hour heart monitor in the hospital. The Dr's cant find ANYTHING.  i am very over weight and understand that my weight contributes to heart problems. They always tell me to be over weight i am healthy. I used to play alot of football and other sports.  But with the dr's not finding anything i am left in the dark about the situation and still left with the problem. I cant think of any other simptoms that I have so im gonna say thats it. CAN ANYONE HELP ME?

  Dear wehaveplans,

I hope you are feeling better. I know exactly what you are going through. The first time I felt those thumps, jumps and jolts

I immediatly felt a rush of adrenaline. I felt hot and started to panic. i rushed to the ER just to be told "you just have anxiety"

try not to stress. Well -how can you not stress when you feel something may be wrong with my heart- The Dr's give me valium and yes they (thumps)  go away. Now, I am going thru it again. This time because I am weaning off of anti-anxiety med's (kinda double edge sword at times) I have been getting them alot lately. They have been evaluated thru holter just like ur's and I was told

they may be PVC- Premature Ventricular Contractions a relatively benign heart condition that lots of people have but cant feel. Man I wish I were one of those people :-)

Listen, I know its hard but we can find support in each other -let's get these dr's to do what they need to do and us

to get in shape and our hearts stronger.

Try walking 20 minutes a day. I will if you do. Let me know.  i am here for You!!!!
