I found this board yesterday and decided to post here.
I am a 51 year old female from Arkansas.I had a severe MI last September 13th.I received a stent that day because my LAD was 100% blocked.I was told that I would need a triple bypass as soon as I was more stable.I spent 1 week in CCU and then had the triple bypass.
In December I developed chest pain again along with vtach so a cath was done and I found out that the RCA graft had failed so I received 2 stents then.
In April I had the same issues so I had yet another stent placed in the RCA.
In May I developed sick sinus syndrome where my HR would be around 150 and then plummet to the upper 30's.After passing out at Walmart I was taken to the Heart Hospital here where I spent 5 days being treated for CHF and then I had a St Jude biventricular ICD put in.I have had my ICD for about 6 1/2 weeks now.
I have advanced CAD,cardiomyopathy,CHF,unstable angina with small vessel disease, and I have a stage 3 MVP with regurgitation that will eventually have to be surgically repaired within the year according to my surgeon.I am also being treated and have benn for decades for hypertension. My hypertension isn't much of an issue lately because I now seem to experience too low of BP with all the meds I am on.
My EF was last 26% right before I received my ICD May 19th and I am hoping the number goes up.
I never knew I had heart disease until last September so all of this has been such a shock and hard for me to fully absorb.I have had 7 hospitalizations all for cardiac issues just since September so I am sure hoping things settle down soon for me.
