One of the side effects of Vytorin is listed as "Alteration of some laboratory blood tests".  Does this refer to the PSA test discussed above, or any other?

Hi Photonut, Welcome to HW, we are happy to have you.  I have to say that I havent ever heard of this side effect.  eyes   Your question relates to Vytorin and not cancer but I have a great link on PSA's and just thought I would pass this along so that you and anyone else who is interested may become more informed regarding this lab test.

:-)  Hi I have done a lot of research on the statins and never heard that, but I personally did not like the vytorin, did not tolerate it well. One thing I would suggest is that you take coQ 10 at least 150mg per day, as all statins deplete your body of the ones it makes on its own.
