I HAD A HEART ATTACK THIS PAST DECEMBER AND RECOVERED NICELY UNTIL MID FEBRUARY WHEN I DEVELOPED CONGESTIVE HEART FAILURE, ATRIAL FIBRILLATION AND DAMAGED MITRAL VALVE.  ON JULY 22ND. I HAD A FULL COX 111 MAZING PROCEDURE AND MITRAL VALVE REPLACEMENT.  SO FAR SO GOOD ON THE FIBRILLATION BUT SOME DAYS I JUST DON'T HAVE THE SPUNK TO DO MY LITTLE BIT OF WALKING AND BREATHING EXERCISES.  I  AM ON OXYGEN 24/7 WHICH HAS ME DEPRESSED ALTHOUGH I'M TOLD THIS IS JUST TEMPORARY.  MY CHEST IS HEAVILY BRUISED BUT MY SCAR IS HEALING VERY WELL.  MOST OF THE TIME I HAVE  PAIN IN THE INCISION AND ALSO INSIDE MY CHEST. I DON'T KNOW EXACTLY WHAT TO EXPECT AND I GUESS I AM BEING IMPATIENT.  HAS ANYONE HAD MAZING AND HOW LONG WERE YOU OUT OF COMMISSION? AND THE MITRAL VALVE REPLACEMENT, ALSO.  I'D SURE APPRECIATE SOME FEEDBACK IF YOU COULD GIVE IT TO ME.  I AM A 61 YEAR OLD GUY IN GOOD HEALTH OTHERWISE.  THANKS

Alan I don't have any advice for you..but I will be thinking about you and I will pray for a good recovery. I'm 50 and had never been seriously ill till this past week. I'm recovering from a stent procedure, 99% of my left main artery was blocked. My dad has heart disease but I was never truly education about heart or coronary disease which is what I have..I'm just lucky I listened to my body, I really understand now why they call it "the silent killer"..I didn't have pain...just tightness and pressure and then laborer breathing. I hope you feel better soon.

HI!

YOU'RE GOING TO BE JUST FINE AFTER HAVING YOUR STENT AND JUST KEEP LISTENING TO YOUR BODY. IF YOU STAY ON TOP OF THINGS, THEY'RE MUCH EASIER TO DEAL WITH!  AND THANKS FOR YOUR GOOD WISHES!
