I am new to this forum and was not sure where to post.  If this is the wrong place, please let me know.
I have been on 500 mg of Penicillin and 2 baby aspirin 3 times a day since October 2008.  My doctor said that I had strep throat and we didn't catch it all and my body reacted by elevating my O Titre levels to over 400!  Now it is still elevated at around 380 and will not go down.  He said to continue the penicillin and aspirin and has been checking my AST levels every month.
My question:  Is this correct procedure?  I am concerned about the longterm use of penicillin and the fact that the levels are not going down.  It will be a year soon.  I have discussed this with my doctor and he just said that this is how my body responded to the illness.   Should he be doing other tests as well?  He has one other patient on the same treatment.
about a month ago, I started taking SamE for sadness, CoQ10, vitamin E, B Complex, sublingual B, Fish oil, and have been on Zetia for cholesterol.   Latest AST test was slightly elevated.  I have been more stressed than usual lately and wonder if the elevated levels are causing this.   Please Help!   Thank you.
