Hello Neurogurl

I would agree with your physician, if you had an EKG and every thing was normal, no chest pain or breathing issues than I believe you will be ok.

If this continues to happen to you do see your phyaician again.

Take care

neurogirl - I have PVC's where this happens to me all the time but mostly when I'm resting I can feel it.  Dr says it is nothing to be worried about but I know how scary it can seem! There are meds you can take but since my blood pressure is on the low side - they make me extremely tired.

Been there done that. I have had times when I'm just begginning to fall asleep and all of a sudden, BAM, I have an irregular heart beat for a few seconds and it's very scary. I used to think that I was not going to make it. It is the strangest feeling in the world. For a while I was getting them every night. (Wierd, it only happened just before falling asleep.)

I did the doctor tests with no results except that everythig was normal. I got mad, then I got motivated. I tried all kinds of suppliments like CoQ10 and fish oil. I'm sure that they helped some, but my condition did not go away.

So I changed everything that I could about my eating habits and lifestyle. I still take only one supplimental vitamin, but I work out three times per week, eat very healthy, and keep learning new ways to change my health for the better. I no longer have these irregular heartbeats, and I still drink about 10 cups of coffee every day. (Still have to work on that one!)

Hi shopnmom, There are many different diets out there to choose from but the one I follow is a low carb (no refined flours), no sugars, high protin diet.  The protin comes from mostly chicken and fish.  Lots of vegetables and fruits.  I do take a few supplements of Vitamin D, Fish Oil, Flaxseed Oil, and a senior multivitamin even though I am 35 my cardiologist recommended it as it has the best mixture of vits.

I am not perfect though and sometimes I do cheat and eat the occasional log of raw chocolate chip cookie dough, or frozen snickers bars.  But I do notice a big difference in my heart rates and arrhythmias when I do this so I try to stick to my diet.

The diet I was speaking of in my reply post is a diet of whole natural foods, like greens, and vegetables at least three or four times per day, a piece of lean natural protien the size of the plam of your hand like fish, or chicken, or lean beef for eah meal, and a solid, low glycemic carb like whole wheat pasts ( about 1 cup) or Baslamati rice(1/2 cup) with two of the meals.

We eat 6 times per day abut 300 calories per meal. We lift weights three times per week for about 30 minutes.

And we started taking a natural suppliment to enhance what we are doing that deals with cardiovascular issues. I'm pretty sure that the rules state that I can't name the suppliment here, but if you need to know more, just send me an e-mail and I'll send you the suppliment info along with any answers to questions that you have about or diet and workout schedule and what problems we solved with the diet.

What we are doing has changed our lives completely, and even the doctors want to know what we are doing, because it is working so well for my wife and I.
