Hi Everyone!

I usually post on the Lyme Disease board, but I'm hoping that someone may have the same thing as me and know what's causing it.

I have been having a vibrating in my chest and what feels like an irregular heartbeat, especially when I lay on my left side or my stomach. Of course, I didn't have this when I had my Cardiologist appointment yesterday, so they didn't get it on the EKG.

Sometimes it feels like 2 beats in one, other times it feels just like a vibrating/gurgling and pounding. I am aware of my heartbeat even when it is normal, but this just feels different.

I also have PVC's, but that feels like a flip flop in my chest.

Does anyone have any idea what this could be?

It's probably just a transient arrhythmia or even PVCs, which often worsen when you're lying on your left side since most of the "heavy duty" work of the heart takes place there. Try lying on your right side next time!

Hi Sarita,

Thanks for your response. I've had this a lot today, so needless to say I am scared sad It feels very different than PVC's and a friend of mine is trying to tell me I have A-Fib. I have no idea what that feels like, so I don't know if that's what it is or not.

If it feels markedly different from what you usually experience, all you can do is go get an EKG at the ER, or get another Holter monitor...if you're worried, by all means get yourself checked out, even if its just for reassurance!
