Hi everyone, I wanted to start this positive thread.  Thanksgiving is almost here and I was thinking of all the good things I have to be thankful for.  Although these are not all, they are very important:

1.  My loving and supportive family, especially my son for providing inspiration and my partner for giving me a big and strong shoulder to lean on and to cry on during the difficult times.  Hats off to all those people who love us and who are going through their own type of suffering by seeing their loved ones sick, in pain and struggling.

2.  I am grateful for still being alive, and hopeful that my health will slowly but surely get better.

3.  This forum and all the amazing people who are a part of it.  You have made my journey a little easier.  All the stories, both good and bad, have made me feel less alone in my struggle.  Finding a group of people who understand because they have been or are going through a similar experience has been a great source of relief, support and inspiration for me.

I hope others will share,

Greenhope

I'm thankful that 2008 has been a year that I haven't had to go into the hospital with some complication or another.  Thankful that my hubby and second son both managed to keep their jobs while many others in their companies were let go.   Thankful that all 4 of my children, my hubby and my two grandchildren enjoy good health.   I'm thankful that we live in a world where strangers can reach out to each other and share hopes and fears and knowledge, so that we all gain strength from each other and the knowledge that empowers us.

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Well I have alot to give thanks for but the one that just comes right to my mind first.......my sister who has Ovarian Cancer and has spent 104 Days at the U of MN Hospital and the Cancer Hope Lodge left Moday to go home to North Dakota and be with her children and family for Thanksgiving.

I thank God for blessing her with this gift.  She will be back here in about a week.  More chemo and then to surgery in January.

I wish each and everyone of you a blessed Holiday and to my Big Sis, you may celebrate to Thanksgivings. Love you my dear Big Sis, my mentor and my friend for life.

Now I am tired............finger worn out.  (((((HUGS))))))))

Good Night All
