Hello all....Like most, I have come here out of hope that someone has been where I am now, and can help me. Two yrs ago I had a heart attack due to two blocked arteries,I was 38. The first heart cath went a bit poorly, hemotoma and severe groin pain. Two days later I had another that went fine.Had horrible brusing and pain from the first one.At my post check up I was told it was from the blood thinners they gave me.I was sent home on Plavix,Vytorin,Toperol,Lisinopril,& Nitro.Since that time I have had almost crippleing groin pain,so much so that at least 4 days a week I'm usless. For the last two yrs,the pain has spread all over my body, I have been to doctor after doctor(neuros,cardios,4 primary care, holistic, ect.) and the e.r. more times than I can count.I have been perscribed most of the seritonin uptake drugs(I managed to destroy my kitchen one day after a week of Lexepro),Lryica,Neurontin,Flexeril,Steroids,Ultram and a sprinkling of opiates occasionaly from some sympathetic er docs, none of them worked.I was a landscaper and private gardener before this, capable of decent days work. Now I barely make it out of the house without misery.I have begged, cried, demanded, and cajoled for help. Now, due to the economic hardships, my husbands co. can no longer pay any of the health insureance and it would cost us over a $1000 a month to keep it,so we have to let it drop,we will not survive otherwise. At 40 yrs. old,I don't belive I have ever felt to hopeless. The heart disease is and diabetes is bad enough, but I could manage that if the pain would stop.Any advice, opinions,or just plain miracles would be greatly appreciated. Thanks....Wyld

Hi Wyld and welcome,
I understand your situation in regards to paying for medications as I am close to that situation. I 've been out of work since last April and mty COBRA will end in October. Please have a look at this link:

(You might have to copy and paste it)

It's in the Lupus forum. If you scroll down to the bottom, there is a link to a variety of places to help with paying for your meds that might help.
light and love,
Cynthia
