For the past few months I have been eating a few cloves of crushed garlic a day for overall health benefits. At first I ate it raw,, then I read that you should crush it and wait for 15 minutes for allicin to form, then eat it. Today though I read that allicin is destroyd by stomach acid, so that if you eat it raw, the majority of it is lost. Yet these claims seem to be made by companies selling coated garlic pills; obviously it's in their interest to get people buying their pills not buying it raw from stores.

Does anyone know the *real* truth behind all this?

Here is a great ebook, that has benefits to over 64 medical conditions.
It's 177 pages long, with research to back it up.
I have used Alligin ( a supplement containing 150 mg Allicin & 150 mg Ginger) equaling approximately 20-25 cloves of garlic per capsule. And, I have never gotten any bad odor from it. Allicin is formed by a reaction that takes place within garlic.

The book is called "Allicin & Ginger, Nature's Power Healers", by Peter Josling. You can download it FREE at http://www.superimmune.org/colleen. The website also has some great links about MRSA & other drug resistant infections that Allicin is helpful with.

Best Wishes-
