confused  Hello.
For approximately the last  year or so I have been feeling a very peculiar heart rhythm that comes and goes throughout the day. It occurs at least once but usually multiple times. Feels like my heart pauses momentarily or skips and then beats very hard for several seconds. The rate does not increase, just gets VERY strong. Been experiencing worsening shortness of breath and mild chest pain (pain more left sided).

I do have mild emphysema (smoked for 24 years) but the degree of dyspnea exceeds my stage of COPD (in my opinion).

Suffer from orthostatic hypo tension  and at times the dizziness gets to the point that I feel like I will faint.

I had an EKG done about 1 year ago and was told I have a Right Posterior Fascicular Block. Had an abdominal CT scan 2 years ago that revealed increased pressure in the Inferior Vena Cava. Echo Cardiogram came back fine. Need some advice.

MEDS:
-Spiriva (triotropium bromide): inhaler; 18 mcg/day
-Albuterol: as needed.
-Celebrex  200 mg, BID, for approximately 1+ year for moderate medial eppicondylitis;
-Prevacid 30 mg/day for 4 years for gastritis.

My advice would be not to mess around with this.   Give your doctor a call and make an appointment ASAP to get in to see him/her.   Your condition could have changed immensely in the past year, time for a recheck.

Saw the doctor today. He said it sounds like either PVC's or PAC's. Big supprise there. He is going to do an Echo Stress Test and a 24 hour Halter Monitor. Also started me on a low dose of Inderal (Propranolol) as a protective measure until a definitive diagnosis can be made.

I'm glad you went to the doctor, too. The beta blocker will no doubt help. I take Toprol for "missed beats". I hope you feel better soon!
Anxiety Disorder/Mitral Valve Prolapse

40 mg Prozac, Toprol 75 mg and occasionally Ativan
