I just got back from the ER. For 2 days Ive been having serious and very frequent skipped beats. I was scared. They did a battery of tests and said everything looked good but I was very dehydrated and anemic. Im home now and it is still doing it but not as bad but at least my mind is at ease knowing I don't have to plan my own funeral. LOL. I was reading these posts this morning about PVS"s and PAC's and it gave me the courage to go get it checked out. Thanks all. Tony

I've been hospitalized with anemia twice and it's surprising how much anemia effects the beating action of the heart. I received blood transfusions for my severe anemia and it still took some time before my heartbeat normalized. It will take a while before you recover totally, take it easy, drink plenty of fluids to help replace the fluids you've lost. Good luck.

Hey, Tony and Miss Helen! I suffer from the skipped beats, too. I take a beta blocker which helps, but I still get them on a daily basis. Some days worse than others. It is very difficult to not freak out when they happen. I'm still working on that. Keep yourself hydrated. Stay away from caffeine and sweets. You might try Gatorade. Good luck to you both and let us know how you're feeling, Tony!

Well, with all the health issues I deal with, I'm starting to think God made me on a Friday afternoon just before a big weekend. LOL. I'm just glad I'm not a horse. I've heard what they do with them when they go lame.
