blush  Hi everyone-

Has anyone ever had an irregular heartbeart brought on by using Asthma inhalers (Beta antagonists)- like Xopenex etc? rolleyes

I'm really rather confused!          Why would anyone take an inhaler that COULD bring about (as stated on the "warning label")- bring on--irregular heatbeats--changes in EKG...(T wave changes--long Q-T)-- shakehead

Just curious--If you have a "horror story" of getting an irregular heartbeat attack by using these inhalers-!    I think we patients should be aware of these "dangers"!  confused Thanks--Robert

XopenEX Inhalation Solution can cause significant heart-related side effects, such as an increase in pulse, blood pressure and/or related symptoms. If you have a heart condition, your healthcare provider will determine if XopenEX is right for you.

Hoping you are seeing a pulmonologist that is familiar with the side effects of this particular inhaled beta-agonist.

Please do discuss your concerns with your physician ASAP if you are having irregular heartbeart.

I am so glad you brought up this topic.

I wish you peace,

Kitt

Yes, asthma inhalers can and do cause cardiac electroconducitvity disturbance. Type in a search for all drugs and medications causing cardiac electroconductivity disturbance, or arrythmia.
