Hello.  I am a diabetic with renal insufficiency (latest creatinine was 1.5, creatinine clearabce was 47). I am 48, female, Type 1 diabetic.  I may need to have a stent due to chest pains (I will know more after further testing).  The cardiologist did warn me that the dye can further damage my kidneys, but if needed, they would give me plety of fluid and try to decrease the dye as much as possible.  Anyone out there with renal problems who has had a stent or stents put in and how did you make out?  Any damage to your kidneys?
Thaks so much!
