Please does anyone know what "premature aberrant" means on a 24 hour ecg report. I had 70 recorded in the 24 hours but don't know what they are.

Premature simply put means the heartbeat was earlier than normal. An aberrant beat is one whose width on the ECG is longer than normal. It suggests that this particular beat had altered conduction.

Please do talk with your Doctor re findings on your 24 hour ecg report. Try not to over react to the report and let your Doctor explain all to you. Ask questions and be your own best advocate.

Welcome to HealingWell. I look forward to getting to know you better.
