I took my husband to the emergency room this morning because he hurt his back. He had a CT scan which showed he just pulled some muscles but the CT scan also picked up a 2cm aneurysm in his right iliary artery. The doctor discharged him and told him the aneurysm was "nothing to worry about" then send him home with pain pills for his back. Should we be concerned about the aneurysm, perhaps even a second opinion? thanks for any input!

I am guessing that you saw the ER physician and not your husband's regular physician. I would certainly talk with his own Doctor and see what he recommends re this new finding on the CT Scan.

Never hurts to get that second opinion. Take care and keep us posted.
