I was hoping someone on this forum could help me with this. A year ago my father in law had a pacemake put in. Since then he has had a reoccurring problems with blisters forming on and around the incision site. His family doctor and cardiologist have treated him with antibiotics and it clears up and then comes back. Has anyone else had this occur? I think he must have an allergy to the metals in the pacemaker. I would appreciate any advice about this.
He is hesitant to push the issue. I feel he is afraid of having to have it replace.
Thanks so much.
Nancy

Hello Nancy,

The outer covering on a Pacemaker is a thin metal box. I am wondering if your father-in-law is allergic to the metal. This would be a good question to ask his Doctor.

Sorry to hear of his difficulties.

Kindly,

Kitt
