Wow am I scared ! - suffering from anxiety anyway doesn't help with the current situation

I was admitted to hospital beginning of May with atrial flutter which took them forever to stop, having first been treated for AV !!

problem is, I and they, also discovered I have bradycardia - so my pulse kept dropping to 30 while in hospital

Now I'm waiting to have ablation for the flutter, but nobody has mentioned the low pulse - so I'm not sure whats happening

there - I was sort of told one thing at a time when I asked about it

I also have high BP which for which I am supposed to wear a monitor tonight and tomorrow - but I have had to take it off, I'm so

stressed by it, it gets so tight it hurts, it very often inflates, lets go a little and the inflates again its really worrying my - how

high is my BP and if its bad enough to wear a monitor, why don't they just start me on tabs ?

Any advice any one ?

Hello and welcome to HealingWell. Your history is a bit confusing.

You posted "I was admitted to hospital beginning of May with atrial flutter which took them forever to stop"

Then you posted : Now I'm waiting to have ablation for the flutter.

A low pulse rate and high blood pressure are not often present together. Generally when one has a low pulse rate it is accompanied by a low blood pressure.

I think you should wear the monitor if it will give the Dr. information that can help you. Just my 2 cents worth today.

Good luck,

Kitt

I wish I could be a 'generally' type but I seem not to be - I'll give the cuff another go when I go to bed ... thanks for the reply

Hello again,

Do you have Atrial Flutter now or did they convert you to a normal sinus rhythm in the ER ?

If you can just make it through tonight with the cuff you may provide the information needed to help your Dr. dx you.

I know how anxiety can kick in when you are worrying about your health and I am here to support you.

Kindly,

Kitt
