I HAVE HAD EXTRA HEART BEATS AND SHORTNESS OF BREATH  FOR about A WEEK NOW. I HAD THIS PROBLEM about A MONTH AGO BUT WAS NOT THIS EXTREME. I HAD A STRESS TEST AND A FEW OTHER TEST DONE A MONTH AGO AND THEY FOUND NOTHING WRONG. MY WIFE HAS A SCOPE TO LISTEN TO HEART WITH AND YOU CAN HEAR CLEAR AS DAY WHEN IT SKIPS AND DOUBLES UP. WHEN IT HAPPENS I LOSE MY BREATH AND MY HEART POUNDS HARDER THAN NORMAL. I'M STARTING TO LOOSE MY MIND BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE I'M GONNA DIE OR LIKE SOMETHING SERIOUS IS WRONG. I BEEN TAKING MEDICINE FOR ANXIETY BUT IT DOES NOT SEEM TO HELP MUCH BECAUSE THE SYMPTOMS ARE STILL THERE. DOES ANYONE HAVE ADVISE OR BEEN THROUGH WHAT I'M GOING THROUGH?

Hi nelson123
I had something similar happen to me about 6 years ago, and my doc at the time, couldnt find anything.  He thought it may have been something 'viral' causing the symptoms. I would be sitting watching tv or relaxing and it would just happen, my heart would feel like it was speeding up and I would get flutters, and I would get a rush of panic as it would take me by surprise. It got so bad that I couldnt sleep most nights due to anxiety.
Go back to your doc, or ask to see a specialist. Request more tests. It may not be anything of concern.  With me in the end they found I had 2 holes in my heart and I had a small stroke ( TIA ) late last year.

nelson,

Welcome to HealingWell.  I am glad you are following up on your irregular heart rhythm and I will be looking for your update.

Gentle reminder :  Using ALL CAPITAL LETTERS in posts is considered yelling and rude, plus it is difficult to read.

Again a warm welcome.
