How accurate would an EKG Be? What variables can affect the accuracy of an EKG?

It is important to remember that EKGs are not 100% accurate. Normal recordings can be obtained in patients with significant heart disease, or some "abnormalities" may exist in the presence of a normal heart.

EKG's are fairly accurate in record the electrophysiology in the heart, but it has NOTHING to do with your structural or vascular health, although it can be a clue as to their health.
