Hi All Hope all is well with everyone,

Yesterday about 11: 30 A.M. I started experiencing chest pain  a very sharp pain in between my breast that radiated into my left arm causing tingling ,numbness. I felt myself feeling as if I was losing control of my body , after 20 minutes I decided to call 911 as the pain was intensifying. The parmedics showed up first and everything seem to check out fine oxygen levels were good, blood pressure was up some 139/98 it was all over the place most of the day. By the time the ambulance came the pain had went away , they performed an ecg? think thats what its called and it showed up just fine my blood pressure continued to rise a bit more 148/ 91( like I said it was all over the place). The pain had gone but continued to feel like I wanted to vomit and the strange feeling would rise into my head , lot of pressure on my chest. I was given a chest X ray and several other test dont remember the names but everything came up negative and was released last night about 10;00 P.M. The Dr. told me hed like to make sure and said Id be coming back sometime during the week for a stress test but from what he can see everything was fine and that the pain wasnt coming from my heart. Now the day before I had experienced the same chest pain but less than 5 minutes, I have to mention that I have a serious case of GERD and at the moment not taking anything for it. Ive also have shortness of breath going on and off for over a year now and my Dr. had taken me off all medication till he sees me later this week hes trying to figure out whats causing it, but he says its not my heart.  I dont have any other heart problems or ever had a heart attack lately my blood pressures been going whacky along with a rapid heart beat especially during exertion , and thats what the Dr is trying to figure out. I asked if it could possibly be gas due to the GERD but I wasnt given an answer of any kind so I guess Im a bit frustrated from it all. about a month and a half ago I did go to the Hospital walk-in suffering from pain on my left side all around my rib area extending to my shoulder blades and neck, I had the breathing thing (Im not gasping for air it feels like my lungs wont take in a deep breath at its worst and on good days Im able to take deep breaths without any problem and thats where I stand today)so I was given antibiotics for a lung infection( by the way I lifts weight well I did until this chest pain started happening)and about 2 weeks later the pain subsided and this is pretty much how its been going on. The ER Dr. took urine test everything checked for diabetes lung cancer  everything. Is it possible that all this pain is being caused by a muscle injury? I was given muscle relaxants and something else for the pain I'll be going to get that prescription later on, and calling my  Dr let him know whats going on. Im going to be asking my Dr to check my cholestral levels and  thinking what else I should have done just to be on the safe side. Anyone have any suggestions? Id like to make sure Im not missing anything. Before calling 911 I did take into consideration that it may be anxiety but the pill did nothing for me and I did take something for gas and that did nothing for me either , thats when I called 911. Sorry so long but as you can see I'm somewhat new to heart worries and Id like to have all my bases covered on what is important as far as heart test go. Thank you for any help you can give Hope you all have a great day:)

Hello and welcome to HealingWell.  I would suggest you follow up with the stress tests etc but also would recommend that you see a GI specialists as many of your sx are the same as posted by the members on the GERD forum.

You may want to read through that forum and post to the members re your breathing,  chest and other problems you have been having.

Again a warm welcome,

Kitt

Hi I’m 52 and at 40 I had a heart attack. For 6 mos before that my right arm was hurting me, x-rays, stress test, GI test and everything was OK... Only thallium stress test or angiography can show blockage.
