I am a 56 year old male, I have 9 stents most  from last year where I was in the hospital 15 times.  I was in last week for three days.  I have constant chest pain mild to severe and fatigue heartburn shortness of breath and headaches.  My blood was taken in the hospital and my cardiac markers were elevated and they rose each time they did the lab work.  My heart rate was also low between 48-52 which is not normal for me as my heart rate is usually 75-110.  I am always tired after any kind of physical exertment even showering.  Most of the nurses know me know and are always asking me why my cardio doctor has not done a cabbage on me yet.  I also have gout which stinks as they refuse to give me meds to help it so my joints are sore and I have lumps in my elbows and finger joints.  They say the meds can damage my heart more.  In September doc told me that my heart was enlarged.  I really like him, but he really doesn't give me reasons for not doing things.  Back in December of last year he promised my wife that the next time would be cabbage, but who knows I have been in 4 times since then with nothing done.  I am getting to the point of just saying the heck with it and let it take its course.  Would be much better to just go to sleep and not wake up as the pain is really annoying and inhibits me from even getting the rest I need.  I have a hard time eating sometimes as well.  Of course in the hospital you are not doing your normal routine staying in bed doesn't put you under any physical conditions.  Anyway has anyone else having these kind of problems.

Hello and welcome.  It feels to me like you need a second opinion as your current physician is not giving you reasons for your elevated enzymes and you deserve to know what is going on with your health.
Please do get that second opinion and never give up.  Be your own best advocate.
