Hi,
Had an ablation 3 weeks ago without success as the heart was penetrated and the pericardiac sack filled with blod.
This tamponade led to heart stop followed by revival by electrical chock.

Came home from hospital (in Nice, France) one week ago and am now just withering away in bed with oxygen supplement as the least movement leads to fainting and nausea. Have edema in lungs and rather a lot of chest pain.

The hospital is not keen at trying once more and since I tolerate betablokkers very badly they say I just have to learn to live with being a complete "vegetable".

My husband is very supportive but I just plunge into black moods despite a generally sunny and energetic disposition.

Has anybody an experience of how long time it might take to feel better?

Thanks,

Hello and welcome to HealingWell.  I am so sorry you had such a frightening  and disappointing time with your ablation.  I cannot imagine how awful this must be for you.

Any chance you could get a second opinion with another cardiologist ?

I can understand why you are having symptoms of depression and I would like to refer you to our depression forum also as sometimes it helps just to talk with others who are feeling down and sad about what life dishes out to us at times.

Again I am sincerely sorry to read your post.  I do hope someone with some experience will come along with words of wisdom for you.

Gentle Hugs,

Kitt
