Welcome to HealingWell.

It depends on what the heart rhythm is. An EKG
Atrioventricular block, ekg tracing
Ecg
Exercise stress test
or a 24 hour Holter
Holter monitor (24h)
monitor should answer the question. If it is normal rhythm, many doctors will try to slow your heart rate down using beta blockers or calcium channel blockers. If it is another heart rhythm like an atrial tachycardia or atrial flutter, this can often be fixed with an ablation procedure. There is a lot of clinic judgment that goes into deciding if you might benefit from medications or not. Probably best to ask your cardiologist or an electrophysiologist for their take when they can review your records and heart rhythm strips.

I hope this helps you in some small way.

Kindly,
Kitt

I can undersatnd you fears as you are dealing with your heart and that is always a major issue when you suspect something is not right.
