Should I be concerned with my flutters and slight pain in my chest?   I have had Angioplasty and back in 2001 a Stent was placed in my LAD.
All was yesterday and now again this morning I have just Palpitations. sad

You should not panic - but - you should be concerned enough to call your cardiologist TODAY and make an appointment. Explain what you are encountering, the angioplasty and 2001 stent and let them determine how soon you need the appointmet to take place.

Good luck, Kathy!!! (((hugs))) I"m glad they are getting you in so quickly so they can hopefully ease your mind. And I hope that is all that is necessary. I was just Dx'd w/A fib late last summer and fortunately am responding well to meds.

Rythmol (propaferone) an anti-arrhythmic, Toprol (a beta-blocker) and coumadin (blood clot preventative). I was originally scripted Cardizem in place of the Toprol but encountered some edema w/it so was switched to Toprol instead. No problem w/Toprol (knock, Knock, KNOCK) and haven't had an episode since 3 days after starting the Rythmol.

CrohnieToo, I recognize you from the Crohn's forum! So, does taking the coumadin cause you any added trouble with your Crohn's? Anemia, bloody stool, blood draws? Do you have special precautions for scopes? Thanks for any input!

Nope, the coumadin hasn't caused any problems at all. knock, Knock, KNOCK. But then I'm either in symptomatic or total remission. And I never did have any problem w/bloody stools and tended and still do tend more to mild constipation rather than diarrhea. We haven't discuss a scope since I was started on coumadin so I don't know what I'll run into when we get around to one.

I know, fat lotta help "I" am!!! Sorry 'bout that!

Its been since last August or September since I was started on coumadin and we are STILL having fun finding the right dosage! The longest I've been able to go between blood draws was one month - once. Mostly every 2 weeks now, but weekly for quite a while. One week I'd be high, next week I'd be low. INR will be as low as 1.3 one time and as high as 3.8 another and anywhere in between. Only one time was it happily smack dab where we wanted it - that's how I was able to go that one month between INR draws.

I'm NOT complaining! There are so many whose lot in life is so much worse than I mine. I"m grateful for my many blessings!!

I wish CajunBrat would let us know how things went at her appointment Thursday!
