Hi!
Last night I woke up earliar than I normally do and was unable to sleep because I had tachycardia.  After awhile it did not go away and I decided to look it up online.  One of the first things I saw for it was related to anorexia nervosa.  I know I have anorexia however not anorexia nervosa as I'm not trying to loose wait I've simply lost my appetite and have been forgetting to eat.  Or when I am cooking for my family everything seems disgusting for some reason, (foods I normally like).  I really only ate one meal over the course of the last three days.  I had a very stressfull family situation come up three days ago that has made me depressed.  I also was recently feeling like I had gerc for about 3 days before all of this. I had a constant very mild burning that would not go away and seemed to come from nowhere, ( I had not eaten anything i could think of that would give me heart burn).  A few websites said that those suffering from anorexia nervosa who had resting tachycardia should be evaluated for possible life threatening inflamation.  I didn't think only three days would be enough to cause things like this so quickly!  I'll admit I did previously have anorexia nervosa for about 6 months when I was about 13 and nothing like this ever happened.  I am now a 20 year old woman about ten pounds over weight acordning to the BMI charts however generally healthy other than that.  I didn't feel like this could really be true...so I made myself eat a bowl of cereal and went back to bed.  Three hours later I woke up again with my heart still racing.  My BPM the first time I woke was 106 the second time was 109.  i thought eatting food and more rest would make my body go back to normal.  Does my body just need a little bit more time to recover from this or should I see a doctor?

Hi Amamba,

CrohnieToo's advise is wise. If you're having eating issues and are concerned about heart symptoms, a visit to your primary care doctor is definitely in order.

Be sure to stop by and let us know the results!
Take care,
Denise

Hi everyone,

While i did continue to feel slightly strange for the rest of the day I have started forcing myself to eat on a frequent timely schedule. I'm feeling back to normal again and haven't had anymore problems with this since. I've also started getting my appetite back. I'm starting to think it must have just been the family stress I was going through at the time, nothing else would really make sense to me. No I didn't call to make any appointments, I didn't know I could on here lol.
