Hello,

I noticed that I've been experiencing sharp and short heat pain. The pain is not really strong and I can handle it. But, it bothers me a little.

I started taking a few fat burning pills and I don't know if they are to cause it.

The pills are:
Lean Xtreme (non stimulating fat burner)
Caffeine 0.5-1.5 pills a day (200mg caffeine in each pill)
and Ephedrine 0.5-1.5 pills a day (25mg Ephedrine in a pill).

I've been reading a little and people say these pains are due to stress. I've been kind of stressed in the last 7-8 months. The pain did start about 5 months ago and it comes and goes away once in 2-3 weeks.

I'm starting to get worried because today I've had it quite a lot.
I checked my BP with a machine I have at home and it seems to be okay. 117/72, pulse is around 68-70.

Also, I'm 25 and I workout on a regular basis (aerobic and anaerobic workouts) and I eat healthy most of the times.

I think it could be either ephedrine or caffeine. By the way, I drink 1 or 2 coffee cups a day. But, I stopped drinking coffee because I take those caffeine pills.

Should I be worried? should I stop with any of the pills?

Thanks in advance.

Hello and welcome,

I would stop the pills if I were in your place. Many weight loss pills contain both large and small amounts of caffeine to help jumpstart the thermogenic process in the body.

Caffeine has been proven quite effective – which is why it is found in so many weight loss pills – but there is a dark side. That dark side comes in the form of side effects, which often times include severe insomnia, dizziness, headaches, jitteriness, anxiety, stomach aches, chills, heart palpitations, nausea, and the list goes on and on.

I hope this helps you.  I understand wanting that magic pill that will get you to where you would like to be, millions of us have tried the magic pill only to find it does not work in the long run.

Kindly,

Kitt
