HI--

I had a successful ablation done for A-fib last February, Had a very occasional flutter here and there, but mostly things have gone very well. The past couple of days, however, I've had a noticeable flutter or fib, lasting from an hour or two to several hours.

Do I seem to be heading for another ablation? Would like to know if anyone else has had a similar experience. My GP said it's possible for the bad "spot" to grow back and another ablation needed.

Would appreciate any thoughts on this.
Thanks

Michigoose,

I am sorry to read that your Atrial Fib appears to have returned.  It is not uncommon for patients to underfo a  redo catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation.

I do hope  one of our members who has had a redo will come forward and give you more information.

It is good to see you posting here again but sorry it is under the best of circumstances for you.  Thinking of you.

Kindly,

Kitt

I underwent a cryoballon ablation on March 1. 2011. I had an a fib episode 8 hours after and at least one every day episode so far. They are worse then before the ablation. I think I made a big mistake in having it done. I am on Pradaxa, Metoprolol and Rythmol/ Some episodes are so bad, I feel I will have a stroke. My EP never informed me of any side effects. He said not to worry about the procedure. He is a very big doctor in his field . So much for that. Will these episodes subside. I really dread having another ablation to fix this one.
