Skip/ Pause Heartbeat

Dear all,
 
I am 41, male. I feel skip heartbeats while playing Badminton. At that time, maybe, my heartbeat is more than 135 per minute. I feel 3 0r 4 regular beats than one skip beat. sometime 3 regular beat and 1 skip beat,..4 regular 1 skip...8/9regular beat 1 skip beat.  and so on. Overall 12-15 skip beats per minute.I have no chest pain, short breath, or any problem.
When I take rest for 15 to 20 minutes, I feel no skip beat. In normal activities I have no skip beats.
Now I am worried about it. Would you please give me any advice....

Welcome to HealingWell.  A heartbeat that is occasionally irregular usually is not a concern if it does not cause other symptoms, such as dizziness, lightheadedness, or shortness of breath. The skipped beats you are noticing are known as ectopic beats and they can be very annoying.
 
It would probably be best to have a complete round of tests done on you - ranging from ECG/EKG, echocardiogram and stress testing, the latter two if necessary. There are also other specialist tests that your cardiologist can adminster if he/she finds anything of concern in the ECG/EKG.
 
Bottom line is that once you're assured by a doctor/cardiologist you can trust that there is absolutely nothing wrong with you, stop worrying about it! These things can appear suddenly, and they *can* just disappear just as suddenly. The less you think of them, the better for your mental and physical health.

Thank you very much for your kind reply.
I have seen a cadiologist. My doctor has done some tests. [ ECG = Normal, Echocardiography(2D and M-Mode) = Normal. X-Ray= Normal. (Lipid Profile= S. Cholesterol (total) 210mg/dl, S. Cholesterol (HDL) 42 mg/dl, LDL  126 mg/dl, Triglycerides = 267 mg/dl) .RBS = 6.3, CUS= Nil, S. Creatinine 1.1 mg/dl, TSH = 1.68 (Elsisa Method).
Doctor has found Skip/pause (venticular premature beats) beats 12-14 per minute when my pulse (heart-beat) was more than 135 beats per minute in "Exercise Stress Test" (ETT). In this test I had no chest pain, dizziness, or any other problem.....Doctor says Stress test report is normal.... and advices me to continue sports and normal daily activities.
What is your opinion?

DOING WHATEVER POSSIBLE TO CUT ANXIETY AND/OR STRESS HELPED
HEART BEAT AND THE DIGESTIVE TRACT. NO CAFFEINE HELPED QUITE
SO. WENT TO A PSYCHIATRIST RECEIVED A MEDICATION FOR ANXIETY
CALLED DOXEPIN HELPED CONSIDERABLY. SOME OF THE SYMPTOMS I
EXPERIENCED THAT LEARNED FROM MY PSYCHOLOGIST THAT ARE NOW GONE
FROM DAILY TO RARELY. CHEST PAIN, PVC, HOT AND/OR COLD FLASHES,
PANIC ATTACKS IN MY SLEEP, BODY VIBRATIONS, BODY AND/OR MUSCLE
ACHES, AND DIZZINESS. WHAT I WAS TAUGHT WHICH I DO NOT AGREE
WITH IS HEART AND/OR GI TRACT DOES NO AFFECT EACH OTHER. STRESS
AFFECTS THEM BOTH. GOOD LUCK.

Good Morning.  I was glad to read your tests were normal and at this point I would take your Drs. advice and keep living your life to the fullest. 
 
My hubby was recently dx with cardiomyopathy. Cardiomyopathy, which literally means "heart muscle disease", is the deterioration of the function of the myocardium.  My husband's ejection fraction is in the 35-40 % range when he should be at 50%.  After all the testing his Dr. told him to continue to live his live normally and do what he enjoys.  He encouraged him to remain physically active as he has always been very active.  So my hubby is taking his advice and continues to do what he loves to do.

After wakeup in the morning, my pulls rhytham is normal. likewise 1-2-3-4-5-6.....normal per minute.

BUT after taking bath and goin to office . when seated on chair, pulls rate start abnormal , like 1-2-3...4-5-6-....7-8-9-10-11-12..........and gap in middle of the minute ahead. after 5.00 pm evening its agian normal upto 7.00 pm and then again start abnormal. I took out ECG test, which shows abnormal result. MD told me that blood circulation is slow near the lower and top part of heart. He ask for surgery. I have no bad habits, no wine habits. I am doing table work on pc. i can not understand how can it be ? because even i can walk faster in the park when i walking . its generally normal during morning. ECG REPORT SHOW SMALL CURVES AT THE START OF CHART UPTO ___________ THEN its UP long and down long chart. what should i do ? I have little pain near chest since last 6 months.

What did your Dr. say your diagnosis was that warrants surgery ?  Also what kind of surgery are you talking of here ?  A bit more info may help the members in providing you with support.

Im 35 and have been suffering from very scary PVCs since the birth if my son 14 months ago. I get them daily... Hundreds. I totally understand what you're going through. The forums are great. I hope things get better for you.
