I really wonder about my BP. Sometimes I take it and it's 122/78......during a panic attack it goes something like 170/100..... And sometimes it's 103/64.
(which is the reading I just got) isn't that kinda low? And I've read that your BP drops significantly while you're asleep. So if it's 103/64 as I'm about to hit the pillow.... How much more does it drop? This is driving me nuts.

I suffer extremely scary PVCs throughout the day. Hundreds.....and they are all I think about. I also have a panic disorder. So witting about my BP is seriously stressing me out.

Hi, I usually post on the Ulcerative Colitis forum, but I have high blood pressure also.  I can totally understand your concerns.  My BP varies throughtout the day.  It has gotten 198/100 because I got so stressed out when I went to the GI doctor.  Just scared about this disease! As soon as I got home it went back down.  Yes, my BP will read as low as yours.  It is perfectly normal for your BP to vary throughtout the day.  I'm not sure if it drops lower during the night or not.  I try not to think about it.  If I stress out my BP shoots up along with my heart rate.  When I eat right my BP is usually low.  I try to remain calm and relax but sometimes when I go to the doctors I panic.  Hate this about myself.  I just wanted you to know you aren't the only one who expierence this.

Good Morning,

Normal human daily Blood Pressure Range can vary widely, so any single blood pressure monitor reading is not reliable. BP monitor readings must be taken at different times of day, to determine average blood pressure levels over time.

What is important is your AVERAGE BPover time or, where are those numbers sitting MOST of the time?

Normal blood pressure as equal to or lower than 120/ 80 — many experts think 115/75 is even better.

Your body produces a surge of hormones when you're in a stressful situation. These hormones temporarily increase your blood pressure by causing your heart to beat faster and your blood vessels to narrow.  Learning how to control your stress and anxiety will help tremendously.

According to the NIH If your blood pressure reading is 90/60 or lower, you have low blood pressure.

Some people have low blood pressure all the time. They have no symptoms and their low readings are normal for them. In other people, blood pressure drops below normal because of some event or medical condition. Some people may experience symptoms of low pressure when standing up too quickly. Low blood pressure is a problem only if it causes dizziness, fainting or in extreme cases, shock. References: NIH: National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute; Mayo Clinic

I just feel so so crazy. I check my BP now all day. This literally consumes my time. I just checked again...94/64.....I'm gonna lose it!!!!! I'm not relaxed or sitting. Been moving around all day cleaning, etc... I have a one year old who is all over the place. I never relax! So how is it that low? :(

Stop checking your BP all day long as you are obsessing about it.  Look for ways to deal with your anxiety.  I know you must be very unconfortable with your anxiety running this high so try some deep breathing exercises and let go of the worries about your BP.

Look into therapy to help you learn to deal with your anxiety and OCD problems.

Kindly,
Kitt
