hi im 25 1 and a half years ago i had my son when i was overdue i thought to metion to my midwife that i had open heart surgery at 16months old due to a Patent Ductus being repaired.didnt think to mention this as have had no problems so she reffered me off for a echocardiogram it showed i had moderte mitral valve regurgitation and ejection fraction with saying tht they didnt want me to push for longer than 30mins unfortunatly i didnt get to that stage and was rushed off for emergency c-section my heart rate went as far as 200bpm .about 6 months later i had another echocardiogram and all he said was it had not got better nor worse then he advised me not to have anymore children(i said is this for now or forever) he said forever?? we of course would like another child .its now been 1 year since and i have been having palpatation (feels like my heart is skipping beats)very scary also been very tired all the time i cant vaccum a room without having to sit down to catch my breath.i get short of breath alot just doing my normal everyday things i also get tightness in my chest alot this is very worrying for me as i have a 1 year old to take care of.i went to the dr last week due to a tight chest over a 3 day period he did a ecg which he said was fine he said i still have a faint heart mumur also he has reffered me to a cardiologist(a new 1 since ive moved countrys) for another echocardiogram .what kind of questions should i be asking?is this all cause for concern?any help would be much appreciated thanks
