hi, i was diagnosed with anxiety, hypertensio and enlarged heart and has elevated blood sugar. Anxiety now is under control without meds, my bp now is good with meds, elevated blood sugar is doing good so far (hoping), my doctor told me to exercise and have a diet. I dont have family history of diabetes. I regularly exercise at night, sometimes it takes 1 to 2 hrs of running/walking. I regularly bike at night also , mostly 2 to 3 hrs of steep uphills and sometimes a long ride that it takes 100kms for the whole day. I am a bit overweight. The only problem is i ate what i want!I bike twice a week with a minimum not lower than 20kms. but yesterday i bike in the afternoon, it only takes 7kms but in a hot temperature that only takes 25 minutes, after biking i feel slightly lightheaded and my hands is mildly shaking, i feel nervous but my heart rate is only 72 beats per minute which is i think normal. I lay down with cold hands and feet. I feel weird because theres a hot feelings in my arms and chest it comes and it goes, i feel exhausted. not to mention that i dont eat lunch that time. but i breath good an no shortness of breath. While lying down , i feel sleepy and i slept for 2 hrs. then when i woke up , i feel good . What it is? ist anxiety? now i run 5km i dont feel anything strange. Hope any suggestion guys.. thanks

AL,

You have quite a bit of medical history as well as your nutrition is not ideal.  I would strongly encourage you to follow up with your Dr. re how you have been feeling and be sure to explain your episode when biking.  Great job on the exercise but it is perhaps a good time to look at the big picture as far as your health is concerned.

IMHO, making an appointment with a dietician would be of benefit to you in light of the fact that you have elevated blood sugars.  Please do take care of you. We are always here to support you.  :-)

Kindly,
Kitt
