Hi! I was diagnosed last year with heart enlargement after having an 2D Echo. My doctor told me its just because of my Hypertension which is always 130/90. Having a family history of hypertension diet and exercise is not enough to lower my BP. Thats why he gave me a pill ATENOLOL 50mg. Now my BP is controlled with medication its always 120/80 or sometimes its lower. My question is will my heart will be back to normal size? is so how long?

To the best of my knowledge an enlarged heart can be treated and, for some people, it is possible to reduce the enlarged area over time. Many of the medicines used to treat high blood pressure will also reduce heart muscle size if it is enlarged.
Please ask your Dr. if your heart has returned to normal size.
