hi teri,

just came back from my GP who said he thinks i now have

a blood platelet problem, probably completely unrelated to

anything else going on with me!  gad, it always seems like

it's something new.  even though i'm on plavix, they all

feel my bruising is extreme -

and then there's that nasty little rash - he's sending me to

the skin doc for biopsy!

i'm so sorry to hear the news about your mother and her

breast cancer.  my mom has had it twice and is still with

us.  her mother died of it at 47.  i had it at 37.  i hope and

i'm sure that you get that checked regularly -

libby

Hi Libby! tongue

I will assume that the Dr. took a blood test today then?~or did he already have the results from a prior blood test re your Platelets?

Sometimes this test is ordered when the patient (you) has this extra amount of bruising that you mention you do have.  So until this test comes back, I'd hate to speculate, though I know that you are a very intelligent woman...if you need to discuss any of this anytime~I'm here!

I'm sorry you seem to be adding to your already full list with even more health issues.  I will tell you that it seems when these problems come, they do tend to come with more than we've paid for, unlike other deals! :)

Thank you so much for your kind words re my Mom, I'm still missing her!!  Then to add to mine and my siblings loss, my Dad passed away a little more than a month after her.  He'd just finished fighting a battle with cancer of the lungs and came away cured, then had a bowel obstruction and died of a massive heart attack.  So still feeling the grief, but finding the memories of the wonderful times so near and dear. :)

I'm so glad you've joined our little group and look forward to hearing more from you.

Hugs, Teri tongue
