Hi, I had a strong perfect margarita on Friday the 11th...
The next morning while chatting with my roommate while cooking...I had a shotting heart pain
I've been taking some strong Oligo Vitamis from Melaleuca & I have been having shortness of breath.
I even had a little pain shoot before saturday morning...while jogging :'(
I love exercise (joggin & lifting weights) and eating healthy every three hours + I drink more thant 80oz of water a day.
I've been feeling like I have a lot of energy, been feeling healthy...yet I've been shaky and now all of a sudden since May 12, 2012...I stopped exercising
Stopped taking vitamins
stopped eating enthusiastically
I feel sad because I could literally feel and hear my heart..
a while back I had a bad throat, I ignored it till it felt better...a doctor casually said that he felt my lymph nodes on my neck bigger than usual and said he was only checking for a physical so I could go to work but casually stated that I should get myself checked out. ???
then shooting pain, palpitations, and now I could feel a little stressor radiation uncomfortable feeling up on top of my left chest toward my shoulder, (the whole heart area) left side of neck also , and jaw...and a strange sneaky suction feeling on the left side of my brain...

I called intensive care "they are booked"
I walked into a heart doctor "he can't see me till the 23rd @ 2pm"
I signed up for CMSP, I have an apointment tomorrow
And a friend said, I should go to the ER
And I have one more last FINAL (I'm in college)
:'(
I just wish I knew what was wrong
My mom gave 6 heart pills called Lisinopril 10mg (to be taken 1x a day)
& I was adviced to take one aspirin a day 325mg

Couple of things crossed my mind - you are in college and taking finals and perhaps your feeling anxious about things you are not even aware of.  Anxiety can cause many, many symptoms that scare us but I would encourage you to take a deep breath and keep your appointment on the 23rd as well as your appointment for tomorrow.  I suspect everything will check out OK.  I would encourage you to keep up your healthy habits and if you don't think you should run until you have seen a medical professional - taking a walk may help you feel better and not worry.

Do not use or share medications prescribed for someone else. Lisinopril is  used to treat hypertension, congestive heart failure and to prevent heart failure following a heart attack. As you do not have a confirmed dx of any of these problems I would strongly advise you to not take the medications.  All drugs have side effect and taking Lisinopril may cause a loss of blood pressure called hypotension as a side effect. The lowered blood pressure could cause dizziness, drowsiness or fainting.

Again, I am glad that you have an appt with the cardiologist and hopefully you can get some answers about all of your concerns.

Kindly,
Kitt

Thank you Kitt,

I am feeling much better now. I went to the ER yesterday, they checked me in right away @ about 5:30 but didnt get to see the DOC till almost Midnight.
The doctor really listened well but did not have much compassion or sensitivity to my concerns. He did say that I looked like I was suffering from anxiety. I never knew that anxiety related to irregular palpitations, shortness of breath, pain, and dizziness. I was upset becaue I felt like something was really going on and wanted more information or service to get down to the core of the problem. I did not think it was anxiety at all.
When I left the ER, I called the Dr. to apologize for being upset and asked if it was too late to get the prescription for anxiety and shared that I had spoken to my mother about what he advised. I shared that I wasn't too happy to hear the diagnosis but that her friend said that she  too had symptoms like mine and is now in better shape. He was a different guy over the phone. He was nice and understanding. He even called the pharmacy right away to order my prescription.

Today, I went through beautiful healing rooms at my church Bethel this morning and received healing and peace, and then I picked up the prescription. I treated myself to a delicious 1/2 salmon burger at Gorilla Bites, and a 1/2 veggie Slushy, took an ativan, and went home, read, and put myself to sleep.
:-) I feel much better now. Peaceful. Have a little headache at the moment, but my heart is calm. WHen I woke up I felt a little comatose. Now, I just want to go to sleep again, after a meal without starch. My heart feels calmer, and I'll just take these ativans for a little while till I feel better...and then go back to my normal healthy habits, absolutely! I'll go find a primary physician, and find some healthier vitamins that aren't so strong. I won't worry and I'll stay positive, in Jesus.

esmie,

It is wonderful to read your post and to know you are feeling much more peaceful now.  The mind is a powerful thing; I am constantly wowed by what it can do for me and against me. However, when we are able to get control of our thoughts and feelings, instant relief !

I hope you will join us in the Anxiety forum anytime you feel the need to talk or to share re your own anxiety as we have an awesome support group in the A & P Forum.

My wish for you is peace and happiness.  Be well my new friend and I look forward to getting to know you better.

Kindly,
Kitt

Thank you. I sure will have you guy's posted. I'm thankful for the handful of support I've received. I got to the ER, saw the Doctor, found out that my blood and test were normal, took his advice, went through prayer at church, and I went on my first jog back yesterday. I was so thankful and grateful to be jogging. It was complete trusting bliss. ;)

Truly,

Esmeralda
