I don't know if this has been posted, but I'm looking for some insight to my problems. For the past 2 months I have had a frequent flutter in my chest. It comes along every day at a specific time, and when it happens I get really dizzy. It will persist for about 2-3 hours. I will get shortness of breath and get extremely hot in a matter of seconds after some of the flutters. Also to add with that, I have had some issues using the bathroom(bowel movements), and I have had to take laxatives just to get a movement. If I don't take them, I can go 5-7 days with nothing. I've been to the emergency room during one of these episodes because it got so bad that I had chest pain, pain in my arm and dizziness. After 7 hours and multiple blood test and x-rays along with whatever monitoring you can think of, they can't find anything wrong with my heart. So I'm not sure if it's a stomach issue triggering this, or what. I had a colonoscopy performed in 2004 and they discovered I have a hiatal hernia, but at that time they did nothing for correction. It just sucks sitting around every day, having these episodes with my heart fluttering because it makes me feel like I'm about to die. I'm 30 years old with a family history of heart disease. What steps should I take and where should I go from here? Or most importantly, has anyone ever had this problem before?

Hi Jmafinance723,

And welcome to the forum. Do you have anxiety by any chance? It almost sounds like it could be that. I am not really familiar with heart problems, and don't ususally moderate this forum, but I am helping out to welcome new members. I hope you find out what is going on. Anxiety can feel llike a heart attack. But that may not even be the case here. Though I know you have a lot on your mind at this time. I hope that you feel better soon.

Keep posting. You will get help from other members on this forum.

Have a wonderful day...

Karen...
