I've just spent two days in emerg with pain in left side of chest and left shoulder/arm.  Was recovering from first bout of what hosp diagnosed as superficial thrombophlebitis in upper thigh. I was also wheezing. Drs. thought lung clot or severe asthma (which i haven't had in 5+ yrs).  No clot in long. Clotting test was normal.  Treated aggressively with asthma masks, hydrocortisol drips all the while having pains in left chest and arm, gerd (i have), and as treatment continued a croop cough developed - i had no cough coming in.  24 hours later, i'm having spasms in my muscles, left chest pain and left shoulder pain again.Wheezing reduced. On puffers, predisone, antibiotics, in addition to high blood pressure meds, nexium for gerd. Not sure whether to go back to hospital or wait.

I hope you have contacted your Dr. or returned to the ER for evaluation of your symptoms.  With your recent illness it is important for you to stay in close contact with your medical care provider.

Kindly,
Kitt
