Sharp Shooting Pains Next to Heart

I've noticed that when I eat things with high fructose corn syrup in them or anything sweetened with this stuff I have these horribly sharp shooting pains right next to my heart that make me feel like I'm having a heart attack. I don't know any kind of medical term related to this issue but have been trying to look it up on the net for quite some time now. The pains last anywhere from 3 seconds to 15 seconds and it hurts really bad and I always think I'm having a heart attack or something. Is there any way to know for sure if it's the high fructose corn syrup that's causing this because if I just stop eating all things with this stuff in it I never have these problems but it's almost impossible to find products that don't have it in it. I also notice that if I take high doses of ginger after having these shooting pains the problem seems to be less severe.

Hey there, I am wondering if you have ever talked to your Dr. re these chest pains you are having?
If you have found that avoiding high fructose corn syrup decreases the episodes of chest pain than I would suggest you look at changing your eating habits. Here is a link that you may find helpful:
