Hi there

I am new to this site, only found it today and relaly dont know how to use it yet! Anyway, ill try!...........

Basically, this is my brief history:

I wonder if SOMEONE may be able to help me? - In honesty, I am DESPERATE!

I have been feeling dizzy now for almost a year, and have had very little attention or help from Doctors. I attended one appointment with an ENT doctor last year, who said that my condition was not related to my ears (how could he know that after one 20 min appointment?)

Since then, my dizziness has persisted. I also get frequent headaches, and my head always feels "FUZZY". I am lethargic and tired all the time, and I am really sensitive to high/low-pitch/loud noises, ie, my ears seems to "CUT OUT" and I cant hear properly (it's all "crackly"). Also, I feel that at times my eyes are flickering about, even ehen I have my eyelids closed.

Do you know what I may be suffering with? Is there any treatment/medication that I can take to help me/to find out that it is this??? (or any tests that I can take to check for things?)

I am also now getting very panicky and have been waking in the night with Panic Attacks which feel like Im DYING! ....can't breathe, heart racing, completeley irrational thoughts.....etc

I am also SO tired and have no energy at all!

Cardiologist also had said that I have a PFO (small hole in heart) but that it is not causing my dizziness.

I will appreciate all repsonses. xxxx

I look forward to hearing from you. Im really struggling with this!
Thanks, Vikki

Hello Vikki and Welcome to the HealingWell Cardiovascular Forum!!

When I first read your post, I thought you may be on the wrong forum and was going to redirect you, however, what you are going through right now, I, myself have been there before and I'd like to reassure you that I care!!

I'm glad that you've had your dizziness checked out by an ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat) Dr. as sometimes an inner ear infection or disease could possibly cause dizziness.  But since that checked out okay?...

Next, I've been there with the anxiety and panic attacks, which, by the way, can sometimes cause dizziness.  What happens is you start breathing differently and you get the "flight or fright" response which causes you to start panicking.  Sometimes trying to control and slow down your breathing is very helpful.  Some people are helped with medications.  Are you currently receiving any help with this??

Re the PFO, the following may give you some insight with this, but keep in mind, your Dr. seemed to think it's a small hole and if that's the case this will give you some guidlines and info in which you can speak to your Dr. about in the future.

Vikki, I do not know what is causing all of your problems, but I hope this helps you out a little bit!!

Best Wishes and Hugs, Teri  tongue

Hi Vikki,
Welcome! Not being a doctor, I was wondering if you've had blood work done? This sounds like it might be low iron. Having low iron blood count can cause the same things, also your thyroid can be cause as well.
Try another opinion and ask about these,
Vinny

I whole heartly agree with Teri but please lok at the other threads with holes in yuor heart and dizziness andd your anixty attacks .It could be Migranes. My girlfriend of 20+ years has them and she gets ringing in the ears tirednes nad gets veryvery dizzy before a migrane episode butu please get it checked ut by a doctor each of us is very different.
Thyroid is either hyper or graves which is hyperaqctivity and causes weight loss and ringing in the ears and  go go go and eyes produding and hypo or hashimotoes thyroiditis is underactive weeight gain legtharic etc but  please get that checked out too but please plaease listen to teri and visit the other threads she told you about and get their input too then go visit your doctor.
