My name is Tracy and live in Scotland. I had a heart attack and 2 stents fitted 1 1/2 years ago at the age of 41. I recovered well physically, however mentally it was much harder. I had that feeling of dread for a long time afterward...and many many months of "why me's"...I found a forum similar to this one and spoke to people who knew EXACTLY what I was going through and this saved my sanity..to say the least!...Just wanted to give something back now that I am back to as near my old self as possible...so I am here to help anyone in need of some support. wink

Hi Tracey, I also live in Scotland and took a heart attack last yr at 41yrs old had very narrow vessels so had to go through bypass in November 2012 totally understand the mental scars they r the most difficult to live with, I had an ETTest on Monday and was told ther wasn't any change from before I had my surgery, so more or less it hasn't worked after everything I have been through and my state of mind I had hoped surgery was my best option but unfortunately not, I now have to be re referred to my cardiologist by my GP, some of my symptoms have came back like sweating, out of breath even wen I was at cardiac rehab I had pain down left hand side of my neck and top of arm, I can't help but feel negative about things and don't know what the next stage is either
