Apparently, a blood test that has already been available for use in screening for Heart Disease, has been found to help in screening for stroke risks!!
It's called the "PLAC" test, protein lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2 (Lp-Pla2). The test itself will help provide Dr.'s info on a patient's risk for stroke above and beyond the normal risk factors like diabetes, heart diseasee, smoking, etc.
