I'm 22 male, with Healthy blood test, Normal Cholesterol, not diabetic etc etc. have suffered with panic and anxiety in the past.

I just finished of doing some work on the computer and decided to go to sleep. As soon as i got in bed to relax i had these strange feelings in my chest, thought it was gas at first but it wasn't. i felt it. It was my heart giving of strange beats like thuds, pauses, extra beats. Happen for a few seconds then instantly went back to normal 60BPM. This happens when sitting as well and it happens 2-3times a day sometimes more. i occasionally get the THUD feeling in chest after a walk to.

What was Was this PVC, PAC or.. ? Why does it happen when i lay down in bed or sitting.

I tried to re-create these feelings while jumping in bed, while holding my breath and checking my heart and IT HAPPENS! Is there a link to PVC irregular heartbeat or whatever i have with Holding Breath or poor breathing?

Thanks!

Good Morning and welcome to HealingWell.

Everyone has an irregular heartbeat, however, some of us are sensitive to noticing these beats while others go on their way with no concerns.  Whether you were having PACs or PVCs I cannot tell you as only a documented ECG would be able to capture the beats so you could see them and diagnosis what kind of beats they are.

As this is your first time  noticing the beats, do make an appointment with your Dr. for a medical screening exam and instructions/explanations from your Dr. re these irregular beats.

I hope that you can get to a resolution regarding this situation. Please feel free to post anytime you need to talk about how you are feeling. We are here to support you and offer help when we can.
