" A new study has found that the parents of children born at a lower weight may have an increased risk of dying from heart disease or stroke -- suggesting that common genetic factors may underlie both birthweight and cardiovascular disease. "

Remember, though, this is a study and not a fact as yet - so while we can learn from this, they have a ways to go!

That said...I wonder out of all of us here now, how many had low birth weight babies?

I know I was not, and my Mom had an MI.   My son was born prematurely, but still weighed over 6 lbs.?
