What are Junctional Rhythmns?

"Junctional rhythms may take the form of a tachycardia, or they may be an escape mechanism during periods of significant bradycardia and high-grade atrioventricular (AV) block.
The junctional rhythm initiates within the AV nodal tissue.
Junctional rhythms during sleep are common in children and in athletic adults."
