Hi! New here, and just looking to see if anyone has ever heard anything about having your pfo closed while pregnant? I had a TIA in Feb., and another in Aug. while on baby aspirin. Then I was taking Warfarin, and just yesterday had 2 positive pregnancy tests. I immediately have stopped warfarin, per my cardiologist because of the danger to the baby. I am scheduled to have my pfo closed in Dec. Haven't had a chance to ask the cardiologist who is scheduled to do it yet, but hope to hear next week if it is still possible. 37 yr old

PFO girl,
Welcome to HealingWell and congratulations on your pregnancy. The ideal, of course, is to have the PFO repair before you become pregnant but it does sound as if your Cardiologist feels that you need to have the procedure regardless of your pregnancy.
Make a list of all your questions and perhaps get a second opinion from another cardiologist re your concerns.
