about a week ago I was at a restaurant and the waiter knocked over a huge stack of plates that was located right behind me. The incredibly loud crashing sound terrified me and it literally felt like my heart was jumping out of my chest. Since then & for the past week, I've been experiencing soreness and slight pain on the left side of my upper body right where my heart is, almost like a muscle strain but deep in my chest. What should I do about this? Will it eventually calm down by itself? Can momentary traumatic events like this cause heart conditions? Thanks so much for any advice you have!
